I’m a NZ mother of two, DD 3 and DS 1, and like many mothers I seem to wear an interminable number of hats each day. I’m a mother, wife, business owner, independent contractor, employer, corporate clone, childbirth educator, Playcentre parent, friend, home maker, and sometimes writer.
I realised that there were moments of great joy in my life that I was missing – they seemed too insignificant to mention when a friend asked ‘what have you been up to?’, but these are the things that make up real life and lead to real contentment and joy in ‘my lot’. I’d love to know that there are others out there who take joy in these things, recognise their importance, and share their own small moments with those they love.
